Somers Man Charged in Sale of Stolen Goods

SOMERS, N.Y. – Somers resident Douglas N. Lauzon, 22, has been charged in the sale of numerous pieces of stolen jewelry to nearby pawn shops.

A Somers resident reported in March that jewelry valued at approximately $50,000 had been stolen from his home. In tracing the jewelry to pawn shops in Westchester and Putnam counties, State Police Investigator John Rodriguez ultimately zeroed in on Lauzon, who was arraigned on a third-degree felony charge of criminal possession of stolen property before Judge Ralph Mackin in North Salem Town Court.

Lauzon, who lives at 30 Lalli Drive in Somers, was remanded to Westchester County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail. He was scheduled to appear in Somers Town Court on May 2.
