Somers' Muscoot Farm Presents Family Programs

SOMERS, N.Y. -- A fire-building event is among the programs that Muscoot Farm has planned for March.

A rundown of all events is below.

Maple Sugaring – Now that the sap is flowing, watch as it is transformed into maple syrups. Sundays, March 1 and 8, 11a.m.-2:30 p.m.

Environmental Learning Center Open – Visit the new environmental education center and view nature exhibits with the curator. Saturdays, March 7, 14, 21, 28 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Sugarin’ Off – Join the fun with maple-inspired activities on the final day of sugaring and enjoy some sweet snacks. Sunday, March 15, 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

Fire Building – Visit the new environmental education center and learn how to build a fire in any situation. Fee $40; pre-registration required at 914-864-7286. Sunday, March 22, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

All About Bunnies – The Westchester Rabbiteers will teach you everything you ever wanted to know about rabbits. Sunday, March 29, 1 p.m.-3 p.m.

Muscoot Farm is a Westchester County park on Route 100 in Somers.
