SOMERS, N.Y. -- Somers has added a new feature to its community information services. Now you can sign up to receive personal emails about current events and emergencies in town.
Go to the home page on the Somers website Somersny.com. Look to the right of the page for news & announcements. Click on sign up for emergency news and fill in the form. Or click here to go directly to the form.
In addition, the Town of Somers will hold an Emergency Preparedness Presentation on Thursday, March 22 at 10:30 a.m. at the Heritage Hills Lake Lodge on Heritage Hills Drive.
Residents will learn what to do before, during and after a disaster or weather emergency. The presenter will be Somers Town Supervisor Mary Beth Murphy. This event is free and open to all Somers residents. To register call 914-277-3637.
