SOMERS, N.Y. - John Markiewicz, of Somers, was one of thousands of runners who completed the Boston Marathon before two explosions halted the race Monday.
According to the Boston Marathon website, Markiewicz, the lone Somers entry, ran the marathon in a time of 3:10.21.
Three people were killed and more than 150 injured when two bombs exploded near the end of the 107th Boston Marathon four hours into the race.
