The Week Ahead in Somers

SOMERS, N.Y. – Here is a list of upcoming events this week in Somers:

Monday

Somers Library: There will be a meeting of the new Teen Advisory Group (TAG) from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Teens can earn community service hours by helping the library plan programs for teenagers, create displays, review materials and more. Attendees must be between grades six and 12.

Tuesday

Muscoot Farm: Children of all ages are welcome to come and hear tales of life on the farm during story time, from 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Somers Middle School Cafeteria: A workshop meeting of the Somers Board of Education is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.

Wednesday

Somers Intermediate School: Learn about summer camp options for your kids at The Somers Camp Expo. The event takes place between 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

Van Tassell Park Recreation CenterThe Energy and Environment Committee will meet at 7 p.m.

Thursday

Somers Town House: The Somers Town Board regular meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Somers Middle School Library: The Somers Special Education Parent Teacher Association (SEPTA) will meet from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Discussion will cover the annual review process, new IEP formats, the continuation of services and more.

The Schoolhouse Theater: The curtain goes up at 8 p.m. for JP Miller’s “The Days of Wine and Roses,” third in this year’s series of dramatic performances.
