Monday, July 30
Fire Department Fundraiser: 5 - 9 p.m. Cool down with the Croton Falls Fire Department at Purdy's Farmer & the Fish. Guest bartenders Peter Kamenstein and Bob Daros will donate tips to the Croton Falls Fire Department along with a donation from the restaurant. Purdys Farmer & the Fish, 100 Titicus Road, North Salem.
Pajama Story Time: 7 - 7:30 p.m. Get your children ready for bed and then bring them to the library for a bedtime story with Doris Jane Smith. All ages are welcome. It's at the Somers Library, 82 Primrose St. in Reis Park.
Tuesday, July 31
Terrific Tuesday: 3:15 - 4:15 p.m. “Make Someone Else’s Dream Come True” is the fifth in the Somers Library’s Terrific Tuesday series. This time it’s devoted to collecting school supplies for needy families. Bring donations to the session and help pack them up for the Katonah Community Center. Needed supplies include Crayola crayons and markers, No. 2 pencils, large glue sticks, marble composition books, pink erasers, 3x3 Post-Its, 3x5 index cards, handheld pencil sharpeners and 12-inch rulers. Parks and Recreation Board: 6:30 p.m. The board will meet at the Somers Town House, 335 Route 202, Somers.
Wednesday, Aug. 1
Read to Romeo: 3 - 5 p.m. Romeo the Therapy Dog will be all ears as he listens to children reading their favorite stories. Call ahead to reserve a time slot. The number is 914-232-5717. Somers Library, 82 Primrose St. in Reis Park.
Energy and Environment Committee: 7 p.m. The committee will meet at the Van Tassell Park Recreation Center, Route 139, Somers.

Note: The Somers Town Board will not meet on Aug. 2. The Aug. 9 meeting will combine both the regular meeting and the work session.
