Carl Borsari, 75, Somers Real Estate Executive

SOMERS, N.Y. – Carl Borsari of Somers died Feb. 2 at White Plains Hospital. He was 75.

He was born June 11, 1937, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Antonio and Nancy Benvenuto Borsari. He graduated from Bishop Loughlin High School in Brooklyn in 1955 and from Manhattan College in 1959. After college, he was commissioned as an officer in the Air Force.

Borsari married Marylyn Fuertinger on July 16, 1960, in Glendale, N.Y.

He was a New York state professional engineer who worked as a commercial real estate executive in Manhattan for many years before retiring.

He enjoyed golfing, sailing, skiing and, in retirement, his morning coffee with friends and spending winters in Florida. His greatest passion in life was his grandchildren, his family said. He was a fixture at their many games and performances.

Borsari is survived by his wife; two sons, Michael (Theresa) Borsari, of Bernardsville, N.J., and Christopher (Patricia) Borsari, of Brewster, N.Y.; four siblings, Ted, Victor, Mary and Marie; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, at Beecher Funeral Home in Brewster. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, at St. Joseph's Church in Croton Falls. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
