SOMERS, N.Y. -- Charlotte M. Gavaghan, an 83-year resident and retired long-time Town Clerk of the Town of Somers, died on Dec. 5 at the age of 93, according to LoHud.com.
Gavaghan, born May 13, 1920, served 22 consecutive two year terms in public office as Town Clerk in Somers, according to the obituary. She retired in 1990.
