Eleanor Ritchie, 89, Of Somers, Retired From Guerlain Perfume And Cosmetics

SOMERS, N.Y. -- Eleanor Collabolletta Ritchie of Somers died Saturday, Sept. 6. She was 89.

Ritchie was a resident of Somers for nearly 70 years. She helped World War II efforts by assembling bombs in Connecticut.

He worked as a cashier with Hygrade Market in Croton Falls, and retired after 21 years from Guerlain Perfume and Cosmetics in Somers.

Ritchie is survived by her sisters, Florence Gannon and Michelle Mulder; children, Robert (Edith) Ritchie, Sr., Judy (Gene) Tripi, and Nancy Ritchie; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert E. Ritchie.

Calling hours are Tuesday, Sept. 9, from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Ave., Brewster.
