Ingeborg Helene Corigliano, 80, Of Croton-on-Hudson

CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N. Y. -- Ingeborg Helene Corigliano, a longtime Croton-on-Hudson resident, died Saturday, Oct. 3. She was 80.

Ingeborg was born to Richard and Helene Meissner on July 6, 1935 in Nuremburg, Germany.

She immigrated to the U.S. in 1957 where she met her husband, Douw Edward Corigliano, and the two were married for 42 years. Ingeborg became a U.S. citizen in 1976. 

She was an active member of Holy Name of Mary Church for the last 50 years. She's worked as a tax accountant for Weissner & Blick, CPA and H. William Guss, CPA for the past 33 years. 

She was also active with the Red Hat Society, and spent her free time gardening.

Her husband died in 2004.

Corigliano is survived by her four children Helen, Barbara, Mark and Philip; and five grandchildren, Wendy, Arthur, Jackson, Sophia and Joseph. She is also survived by her sister Eva Marie Kramer in Germany. 

Besides her husband, Ingeborg was also pre-deceased by her brother, Paul Georg Meissner. 

Visitation will be held at 2-4 p.m., and again from 7-9 p.m. on Friday at Edward F. Carter Funeral Home, 41 Grand St., Croton-on-Hudson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Saturday, at Holy Name of Mary Church, Croton-on-Hudson, with burial to follow.

Ingeborg supported numerous charities, most notably the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
