SOMERS, N.Y. - John Andrew "Jack" Rauh, of Syracuse and Jensen Beach, Fla., and formerly of Somers, died Tuesday, July 9. He was 82.
Rauh was born Nov. 12, 1931, in Syracuse, son of George and Olyve (Hamel) Rauh. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1950 to 1954 and was a groundskeeper for the Somers Central School District in Somers for many years. He was a 40-year resident of Somers, a member of the Somers Dads Club and a coach for youth baseball teams.
Rauh is survived by his wife, Dee (Semenza) Rauh; daughter, Robin Foley (Mike) of Danbury; son, Rusty (Ellen) of LaGrange; brother, George of Syracuse; and four grandchildren as well as stepchildren Vicki, Rich, Dan and Suzie; and 12 step-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents; first wife, Nancy Rauh; and son, Ric.
Calling hours are Friday, July 12, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Clark Associates Funeral Home , 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 13, at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 10 Croton Falls Road, Croton Falls. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Somers.
