TARRYTOWN, N.Y. – John Geres Fuller, a Tarrytown native and former Yorktown resident, died Sunday, Nov. 13, in Cape Cod, Mass. He was 63.

The cause was cancer, his family said.

Fuller was a graduate of Yorktown High School and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts.

He owned and operated J.G. Fuller Construction, a contracting and construction business that he ran for 25 years in San Francisco and for 18 years in Cape Cod.

Among his passions were restoring and preserving historic homes.

He was also a musician, artist, illustrator and cartoonist. He was especially proud of his "Heart Cartoon" series, his family said.

He is survived by his wife, Mary (Talbot) Fuller of Plymouth, Mass.; stepson, Patrick Morris of Laurel, Md.; stepdaughter, Kara Morris of New Haven, Conn.; brother, William Fuller of Orleans, Mass.; sisters Jeanne Duffy of Nashua, N.H. and Valerie Brooke of Brewster, Mass.; granddaughter, Michaela Morris; four nephews and a niece.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Friday, Nov. 18, at the Cartmell -Davis Funeral Home, 150 Court St., Plymouth, Mass. It will be followed by a Memorial Service at 11 a.m. in Christ Church Episcopal, 149 Court St., Plymouth, Mass.

Burial will take place at 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 2, in the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Tarrytown.
