SOMERS, N.Y. -- Maureen E. Meehan, 70, of Somers, formerly Floral Park, N.Y., died Sunday, Aug. 2.
She was the daughter of the late Vincent and Kathryn (Miller) Maher.
Meehan earned two master's fegrees (high honors), taught nursing for over two decades and worked as a hospital executive. She wrote and directed award-winning educational films.
Survivors include her husband Raymond; a sister, Dr. Kathryn (Bill) Butvick; two daughters, Dr. Barbara Meehan and Eileen (Ben Copple) Meehan; three grandchildren, Nora, Adam and Helen Copple; and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 7, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 95 Plum Brook Road, Somers. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Connecticut Westchester chapter.
