SOMERS, N.Y. – Monique Williams of Somers died Sept. 9, surrounded by her family. She was 15.
Williams had leukemia and had been sick the past few years, according to The Church of the Good Shepherd's website.
Born Feb. 21, 1997, she was a member of the Granite Springs Church's confirmation class in 2010. She finished eighth grade at Somers Intermediate School this past spring and was looking forward to high school.
She is survived by her parents Larry and Lorraine; a brother, Brandon; and a sister, Natasha.
Visitation is from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Cargain Funeral Homes in Carmel, N.Y. A service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at The Church of the Good Shepherd. Burial will follow at Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla.
