SOMERS, N.Y. – Renee Mary Macri of Somers died Wednesday, Feb. 11, at Westchester Medical Center of Valhalla after a long battle with Crohn's disease. She was 48.
Renee was born on July 13, 1966, in Port Chester to Rocco and Barbara Vertullo Macri, and was educated in Rye Brook at Cerebral Palsy of Westchester. She lived in Somers for the past two years, previously residing in Pelham Manor from 1998 to 2012 and in Port Chester from her birth to 1998.
Renee will be remembered for her baby blue eyes, infectious smile, unconditional love and most of all her tremendous strength and will to live.
She is survived by her parents, who live in Barnegat, N.J.; a brother Rocco, sister-in-law Lina, niece Laura-Renee and nephew Rocco Angelo of Rye; and beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.
Calling hours are Saturday, Feb. 14, from 8:30-10:30 a.m. at Joseph Tutera Funeral Home, 121 S. Regent St., Port Chester.
Funeral services are at 11 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church, 136 S. Regent St., Port Chester. Interment will follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery in Rye.
