Virginia Rose Attinelly, 85, Croton-On-Hudson Resident

CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – Virginia Rose Attinelly, of Croton-on-Hudson, died Friday, April 29. She was 85.

She was born to Melvin E. and Grace (O'Dell) Williams on Feb. 27, 1931, in the Bronx. She was married to Robert F. Attinelly on Aug. 30, 1952. 

She was a member of the Croton Seniors and a volunteer with Phelps Hospice.

She is survived by her children, Kenneth E. Attinelly (Linda), Daniel F. Attinelly (Brenda) and Robert (Bob) M. Attinelly (Lauren); grandchildren, Jessica J. Redmond (Kevin), Stephanie A. Tengeres (AJ), Danielle F. Maldonado (Carlos) and Jack and Jillian Attinelly; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, Robert D. Williams.

Her husband died in January 1987. She also was predeceased by her daughter, Janet D. Attinelly in 1973; and her sister, Patricia Bolstad.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Holy Name of Mary Church, 110 Grand St., Croton-on-Hudson, with burial to follow at Bethel Cemetery, Croton-on-Hudson.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to SPCA of Westchester County.
