Elderly Homeless Woman Hospitalized Several Times, Bedford Police Says

BEDFORD, N.Y. - The Bedford Police Department offered a helping hand to an elderly homeless woman in need of repeated assistance.

On Friday, the Bedford Police Department released their weekly police blotter, which included several incidents involving a 75-year-old homeless woman that the department said was "known to police" in Bedford Hills.

According to police, on Monday, Jan. 16, police found the woman unresponsive but breathing on Bedford Ridge Road. She was treated at the scene and transported by the Katonah Bedford Hills Volunteer Ambulance Corps. to Northern Westchester Hospital.

Two days later, on Wednesday, Jan. 18, the woman - who had been released from the hospital - was found on the same road, suffering from weakness and other medical conditions. She was returned to Northern Westchester Hospital.

On Sunday, Jan. 22, the 75-year-old, was found on Norm Avenue in Bedford Hills, lying on the ground, unable to get up and complaining of weakness. She was transported to the hospital for the third time and her current condition has not been released.
