Firefighters moved back into their firehouse Sunday after being displaced since Feb. 2014 when a fire severely damaged headquarters. Voters approved a $2.7 million bond in 2016 to help repair the house.

On Sunday, firefighters spent the day moving equipment, turnout gear, and fire apparatus over to the new building, according to the fire department.

Over the next month, firefighters will continue putting the finishing touches on the building as they continue to get back to a normal pre-fire operation, according to the fire department.

The fire department is planning an open house in October.
