PUTNAM VALLEY, N.Y. -- Students from Hendrick Hudson, Mahopac and Putnam Valley high schools have been identified as those involved in the fight that seriously injured a student-bystander on Saturday night, state police said.

The student was hospitalized after a pre-planned brawl in the Town of Putnam Valley among varsity football players and other students, as reported Sunday by Daily Voice.

The injured student was taken to the Trauma Center at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla. The injuries were serious but not considered life-threatening, police said.

Police would not confirm where the fight took place in Putnam Valley. A report by News 12 Westchester on Monday said it occurred at Rose Hills Memorial Park on Mill Street in Putnam Valley.

It was also alleged that the victim was robbed of some belongings during the 10:15 p.m. assault, according to police.

No arrests have been made, but police are continuing their investigation.

Any witnesses who were not already interviewed by troopers at the scene of the incident are asked to contact the State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation at (914) 737-7171.
