The 17-year-old, whose name is being withheld due to eligibility for youthful offender status, was charged with petit larceny, a Class A misdemeanor, for the alleged theft, which police say occurred over a week ago.
The teen was released on $100 cash bail and is due back in court on Nov. 14.
