Man Charged In Stabbing On Route 6 In Brewster

BREWSTER, N.Y. -- New York State Police arrested Edras Ramos-Salguero, 26, of Brewster, on charges of second-degree assault and trespass.

Around 3 p.m. on Sunday, state troopers responded to a stabbing incident in woods near the intersection of Route 6 and Argonne Road in Brewster. The victim, a 40- year old male, sustained a hand laceration.

After a search of the area, suspect Ramos-Salguero was located and arrested on a property owned by the Department of Environmental Protection.

Ramos-Salguero was remanded to Putnam County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash or $5,000 bond and was ordered to return to the Town of Southeast Court on Dec. 18.
