Shortly before 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 19, police officers were dispatched to a Yorktown residence for a reported domestic incident complaint, where it is alleged that 29-year-old Saad Khan took a motor vehicle from a family member without their permission and left the scene.

According to police, Khan was later contacted by officers and surrendered himself to officers at Yorktown Police Headquarters the following day.

After surrendering to police, Khan was processed and arraigned by Judge Gary Raniolo on a misdemeanor charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He has been remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash or $25,000 bond, and a temporary order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim.

Khan is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on Thursday, Feb. 23.

This isn’t the first time Khan has dealt with Yorktown police. He allegedly broke into a closed Quick Stop gas station on Route 202 in 2013, leading to a felony burglary charge.
