Mohegan Lake Driver Stopped For Using Cell Phone Is Charged With DWI

MOHEGAN LAKE, N.Y. -- New York State Police from the Cortlandt barracks charged a Mohegan Lake man with aggravated driving while intoxicated on Tuesday, Nov. 25, officials said.

Thomas H. Rodrigues, 43, was pulled over for allegedly using his cell phone while driving. Troopers suspected Rodrigues of being intoxicated while they questioned him, police said. 

A breath teste determined he had a blood alcohol content of 0.23 percent, nearly three-times the legal limit. He is scheduled to appear in Cortlandt Town Court on Friday, Dec. 5, police said.
