Mohegan Lake Woman Charged In Theft From Jefferson Valley Mall

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Yorktown police have charged a 27-year-old Mohegan Lake resident with petty larceny after an incident at Sears at the Jefferson Valley Mall.

Police received a call from the Sears store at 600 Lee Blvd. reporting a female shoplifter in custody on Friday, May 20, at approximately 11:55 a.m., according to officials.

An officer was dispatched to the scene; following an investigation, the suspect, identified as Darlenis A. Camilo, was arrested for allegedly exiting the store without attempting to pay for assorted women’s clothing valued at $167.98, police report.

Camilo has been charged with petty larceny, a class A misdemeanor, according to officials.

Following processing at Police Headquarters, Camilo was issued an appearance ticket, then released on $100 bail, police report.

She is scheduled to answer the charge against her in Yorktown Court on Tuesday, June 21, according to officials.
