SOMERS, N.Y. -- A Somers teen was arrested and charged with trespassing and criminal mischief in connection with a 'large party' thrown at an unoccupied residence, state police said.
Brett Rozell, of Somers, was arrested following the Aug. 10 incident in which Rozell reportedly hosted a large party after forcefully breaking and entering into a home in Somers, state police said.
"It was determined that Rozell, knowing the house to be unoccupied as the owners were on vacation, invited numerous others to the residence for a party, forcing entry through a sliding door to gain access," according to a report from state police. "The youths consumed alcoholic beverages which they brought to the home and also consumed various liquor and beer which they found within the home."
Rozell was later released on an appearance ticket directing him to appear in the Town of Somers Court at a later date. It was unclear as to how many were at the party and whether other charges related to underage drinking would be filed at a later date.
