The morning lockout ended around noontime, Katonah-Lewisboro superintendent Andrew Selesnick said in an email.
“We have now been advised by the Lewisboro Police that the situation in Cortlandt has changed and that a lockout in our own schools is no longer necessary," Selesnick said.
The lockout began “out of an abundance of caution," Selesnick said, after he consulted with the Lewisboro Police Department.
In a lockout, school continues as normal inside buildings, but access in and out of the buildings is strictly limited.
