SOMERS, N.Y. – Somers' annual fire commissioner election will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Five people serve on the Board of Fire Commissioners, and each serves a five-year term. The terms are staggered so one seat is vacated every year.

This year, John Fitzgerald is running unopposed to fill the seat of Claire McLean.

All registered voters in the Somers Fire District are qualified to vote. The election takes place in the commissioners office at the Lincolndale Firehouse, 119 Route 139, Somers.
