State Police In Somers Charge Man For Promoting Prison Contraband

SOMERS, N.Y. -- New York State Police in Somers arrested an East Haven, Conn., man for allegedly having a hypodermic needle while visiting an inmate at Bedford's Taconic Correctional Facility, police officials said. 

Elijah Pink, 41, was charged with second-degree promoting prison contraband. He was issued appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, Jan. 9, according to State Police.
