William C. Reimer, 29, was arrested on Feb. 25, after a member of the Sheriff’s Office Special Conditions Unit saw Reimer driving along the shoulder of the roadway on Argonne Road in the Town of Southeast, said Capt. William McNamara.

During the stop, the deputy found Reimer was in possession of a quantity of Alprazolam for which he did not possess a valid prescription, McNamara said.

Reimer was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and for several traffic infractions.

He was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in court at a future date.

If found guilty of the drug charge, Reimer could face up to a year in jail and a maximum fine of $1,000.
