Two Face Drug Charges After Route 6 Traffic Stop In Yorktown

YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- Two men face drug charges after being stopped on State Route 6 on Friday, Oct. 21, for driving over road hazard markers in Yorktown, according to the New York State Police.

Mergim Haljuci, 25, of Putnam Valley, and Steven A. Guzman, 27, of Buchanan, were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance after troopers uncovered methamphetamine during a search of the men, said state police.

Guzman was also charged with possession of marijuana, a violation, state police said.

Both were released on appearance tickets and are scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, Nov. 10.
