Woman Charged With Allegedly Leaving Accident Scene In Yorktown

YORKTOWN, N.Y. – A woman was arrested early Saturday morning in Yorktown for multiple traffic infractions, including allegedly leaving the scene of an accident, according to the Yorktown Police Department.

Nikkolette R. Logel, 21, of Amawalk, New York, was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle in the second degree, leaving the scene of a property-damage accident, speeding, failure to maintain lane and crossing double yellow pavement markings following a rollover auto accident at around 1:30 a.m. on Route 35 near Greenwood Street.

Several witnesses told police that Logel allegedly walked away from the accident. She was located by police shortly after at her residence, near the scene of the accident.

Logel is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court Thursday, Sept. 17.
