Woman Charged With Stealing From JV Mall

YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- A Mahopac woman was charged with stealing from the Sears store at the Jefferson Valley Mall after she was caught with $60 worth of merchandise, according to the Yorktown Police.

Susan Dowling, 66, was charged with petit larceny after police arrived at the store for a shoplifting compliant and found that she had attempted to walk out of mall without paying for the merchandise, police said.

Dowling was released on her own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 15.
