Woman Charged With Stealing From Macy's In Jefferson Valley Mall

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- A Cortlandt Manor woman was arrested Saturday after allegedly stealing merchandise from the Macy's in Jefferson Valley Mall, according to Yorktown Police.

Naomi Olga Jemenson, 51, is charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor, police said.

At about 4:16 p.m. Friday, police responded to a report of a shoplifter in custody at the Macy's located at 700 Lee Blvd., according to police.

It is alleged that Jemenson concealed items in a used Macy's shopping bag, and then allegedly passed all points of purchase exiting the sore without paying for the items totaling $322.96, police said.

Jemenson was taken into custody and transported to the Yorktown Police Department where she was charged and issued an appearance ticket, then released on $100 cash bail, police say.

She is due in Yorktown court Jan. 14, according to police.
