Yorktown Man, 19, Charged After Car Accident At Gas Station, Police Say

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. – John Drenga, a 19-year-old Yorktown resident, has been charged with aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree and a suspended license, after a car accident in at a gas station on Tuesday, according to Yorktown police.

Police say they were assigned to investigate property damage of an auto accident in the parking lot of a Shell Gas Station. A routine check with the department of motor vehicles revealed that Drenga was driving with a suspended license and suspended registration, according to police. 

Police say Drenga was processed on the charges at the scene, issued traffic citations and is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Tuesday, Dec. 16 at 6 p.m.
