Yorktown Man Jumps Bail For Assault Charges, Police Say

YORKTOWN, N.Y. - A Yorktown Heights man is back in custody after being arrested for jumping bail following a previous assault charge, police said.

On Thursday, the Yorktown Police Department reported the arrest of 38-year-old Ricardo Carter, who was taken into custody in Ardsley for an alleged active bench warrant on previous charges.

According to police, shortly after 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 1, two officers from Yorktown responded to the Ardsley Police Department to take custody of Carter. The Yorktown Heights resident was subsequently taken into custody and charged with a misdemeanor count of bail jumping for allegedly failing to appear in court previously.

As of Thursday afternoon, Carter was being held pending an arraignment. Keep following Daily Voice for additional details.
