SOMERS, N.Y. - A 16-year-old former student accused of threatening Somers High School on his Facebook page Wednesday has been charged with aggravated harassment by the New York State Police. In addition, an order of protection was issued barring him from any future harassment.
He was not prepared to follow through on any of the threats, New York State Police from the Somers and Haverstraw barracks said.
The Yorktown Heights resident was released to the custody of his parents for a future court appearance. The charge against him is a misdemeanor, and ince he is a considered a youthful offender, his name was not released.
