Astorino Officially Files Paperwork For Reform Party

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- County Executive Rob Astorino filed paperwork to formally create the Reform Party ballot line on Tuesday, according to NY State of Politics.

The filing is really just a renaming of the Stop Common Core Party that Astorino created during his failed gubernatorial campaign last year, but he received the requisite number of votes to keep the ballot line through the remainder of the election cycle, NY State of Politics reported. 

Astorino said his former campaign manager, Michael Lawler, will lead the new party, NY State of Politics said.
