1. What are the three biggest issues facing your district or town?

Jobs, taxes and reforming Albany remain my laser-like focus. Partnering with Governor Cuomo we can fully repeal the MTA payroll tax, repeal the billions of dollars in new taxes that the previous tax and spend majority implemented and cut taxes on small business owners by 20 percent. I’ll partner with labor and the private sector to provide this governor with public-private partnership legislation he needs to create, literally, tens of thousands of jobs in the Hudson Valley and throughout New York State. Working in a bipartisan way I also hope to pass my bill, placing teeth in NY’s ethics law, and ripping pensions from career, crooked politicians.

2. How would you address those issues? If given the opportunity, I will continue my bipartisan partnership with this good Governor. Along with continuing my fight to cut middle class taxes and fully repeal the MTA payroll tax, I will fight to pass public-private partnership legislation allowing New York to create tens of thousands of jobs locally, investing in bridges, roads and other critical infrastructure. I will also continue my fight for a 20 percent tax cut for small businesses to reverse New York’s hostile business climate and I will fight to lower energy taxes on businesses as well.

3. What were your biggest achievements?

Candidates can say anything. This is what I have done: We eliminated the MTA payroll tax for 290,000 businesses; enacted pension reform for $80 billion plus in savings; passed the property tax cap; enacted a $3.3 billion middle class tax cut; saving taxpayers $4.4 billion and bringing the rates to the lowest level in 58 years; delivered more than $277 million in state school aid; a 5% increase over the previous year; and secured more than $1.5 million in specific grants for local schools. Talk is cheap, I have a solid track record, and I look forward to building on that great work.
