Born in Harrison, he graduated from John Jay High School in 1972 and was named the Dutchess County Amateur Player that same year. He was the golf pro at James Baird State Park and Carvel Country Club. He holds the course record at Baird Park. He was also a big football fan and rooted for the New York Giants.
He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Davis; his sister, Roberta Van Buskirk Ossenkop and her husband John; his sister-in-law, Darlene Davis; his nieces and nephews, Lisa Brenner, Linda Rutherford, Rob Ostrander, Keith Ostrander, Tracey Kakiuchi, Michael Davis and Rick Davis; and many friends.
He was predeceased by his parents and his brother Fred Davis Jr.
