Booth Hill Elementary Gets New Principal For New School Year

SHELTON, Conn. -- A new principal has been selected for Booth Hill Elementary School in Shelton and will take the helm at the beginning of the next school year, according to the Shelton Herald.

James Zavodjancik has been named as the new principal at Booth Hill Elementary School in Shelton.

Superintendent of Shelton Schools Chris Clouet said that James Zavodjancik was the best fit of the four candidates reviewed for the position. Zavodjancik will replace John Scalice, who is leaving to pursue other opportunities, said the Shelton Herald.

Before taking over at Booth Hill, Zavodjancik worked as a housemaster at Shelton High, and held several positions in Milford, including district curriculum coordinator, assistant principal, and a foreign language teacher. When not working, he enjoying long-distance bike rides and working in his garden, added the Shelton Herald.
