The fee of $5 includes dinner served at 5:30 p.m. with the film being shown at 6:30 p.m. and a question and answer session to follow.

The film “Trashed” was an official selection of the Cannes Festival in 2012. The film looks at the risks to the food chain and environment through pollution of air, land and sea by waste. It is a global conversation and features interviews with scientists as well as others whose livelihoods have been affected by waste pollution.
According to the film’s official synopsis, “The film analyzes the causes and effects of the seemingly innocuous act of ‘taking out the garbage’ while showcasing the individuals, activists, corporate and advocacy groups working to affect change and reform the current model.”
The Bigelow Center is at 100 Mona Terrace in Fairfield.
