A warrant was issued in February 2018 for Rony Arturo Garcia. He was arrested on one count of aggravated cruelty to animals on Jan. 12, 2022, Hilltown Township police said.

On Feb. 3, 2018, officers responded to the 1400 block of Route 113 on reports of a male subject threatening members of the household, and who had possibly killed the family’s pet dog, police said.

No family members were injured, but the dog was found dead on the property, police said. A joint investigation with the Bucks County SPCA found the dog suffered multiple skull fractures as a result of blunt force trauma.

The suspect was identified as Rony Arturo Garcia, 24, of Perkasie. After issuing a warrant for his arrest, police believed he may have tried to flee to his home country of Honduras.
