Sometime before 8:30 p.m. on August 18, the suspect, 45-year-old Marleny Salamanca, got into an argument with a relative, 24, outside a residence in the 4500 block of Hendricks Drive, according to the Prince William County Police Department.
During the argument, Salamanca grabbed a tire iron from a nearby vehicle and hit the victim with it, officials reported.
The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived, and the victim was later transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries, authorities said.
Police said they continue to look for Salamanca, who was described as a a white woman, approximately 4’11” and 145 pounds.
She is wanted for malicious wounding and anyone with information on her whereabouts should contact police at 703-792-7000, officials said.
