Three Somers Residents Receive College Degrees

SOMERS, N.Y. – James Marchionno of Somers was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations from Quinnipiac University on May 20. Quinnipiac is a private, coeducational, nonsectarian institution in Hamden, Conn. The university enrolls more than 6,000 full-time undergraduates in its 53 undergraduate programs and more than 2,000 students in its 20 graduate programs.

Teadie Becker of Lincolndale was among the 570 graduates from Nazareth College, located in suburban Rochester. The institution offers undergraduate programs in liberal arts and sciences and professional programs in health and human services, education and management. Becker earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Science and Disorders.

Maria DeRobertis of Somers has been awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and Special Education from Salve Regina University in Newport, R.I. Salve Regina is a Catholic coeducational institution founded by the Sisters of Mercy in the mid-20th century. It enrolls more than 2,500 graduate and undergraduate students.
