Pace Basketball Player Gabriella Rubin Named Co-Rookie Of The Year

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- Pace University women's basketball freshman Gabriella Rubin was named Eastern College Athletic Conference Co-Rookie of the Year in March.

Rubin ranked second on the Setters with 11.1 points while leading the team with 38 steals. The freshman also ranked second among her teammates with 2.6 assists while adding 3.9 rebounds per contest. Additionally, she ranked second on the team and ninth in the Northeast-10 Conference with an 80.7 percent mark from the charity stripe.

Rubin also climbed her way up the Pace freshman record books during her rookie year. Her 41 triples ranks her third all-time among freshmen behind Stephanie Klingele and Taylor Losey, who rank sixth and 11th, respectively, on the all-time career points list at Pace. She also climbed up to fifth on the all-time scoring list in a freshman season with 310 points and ninth on the all-time freshman assists list with 72.
