YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Yorktown High School's varsity girls soccer team was off to a 3-1 start to the new season when Daily Voice caught up with veteran coach Rich Armstrong.

The Huskers, who had a 12-4 season end in the first round of the playoffs last fall, have a solid core from that team back in action, and Armstrong, in his 15th season, believes the squad has potential.

Yorktown will look for leadership from team captains Ivana Pjetri, Alyssa Francese and Kimberly Bourgeois.
