Colleen I wish you all the best and I know you are destined for great things. Mike and Patricia are very loving and supportive parents and I tip my hat to both of you.

Tom and Connie put a lot of good years in at Johnny's Pizza and Dobbs Ferry Pizza will continue with that same tradition as well as bringing some new flavors to the menu as well. I know people work hard for their money and times are getting rougher out there so my goal is to make you a meal that is fair in price , great in taste and leaves you feeling it was a meal that was worth every penny. I thank the old owners for their service to Dobbs Ferry and now I will continue the same.
Thank you

i wish the firefighter well , but lets ask why he burnt his ears? Because Yonkers does not provide their firefighters with hoods that would meet NFPA minimum requirements. The hoods are $12 each and with Yonkers buying power it would be less. This has nothing to do with budget monies because Yonkers never provided hoods so shame on the Chiefs and unions View Comment
I say it all the time "if you build it they will come" as they did with Stew Leonard's and Ridge Hill. I believe although a tough and maybe not that popular of a decision the board was presented with 2 years of facts and a majority of the board was satisfied with it. Protesting Mercy and the Ardsley ave bridge? is there anything that we can build in OUR town that The Rivertowns Preservation Civic Association wouldnt be opposed to. I bought a book in Readers Hardware that shows Dobbs Ferry before and after with pictures and descriptions and even though at that time people may have protested it shows that the Village has undergone changes since it inception and it will continue to long after we are gone. why are we printing about another persons $75 million dollar home? Doesn't he deserve privacy. Does the media go around and say "look at the garbage mans $250,000 home" we need to be smarter and stop throwing peoples private life in the papers, the house was approved by Hastings lets move on. Fact check for you.. the board could not say no to Walgreens no matter how much they wanted to it was zoned for commercial use, that site used to be a supermarket. The ARB required that the building be 2 stories Walgreens only proposed a one story building. No 1 person stopped Stop &Shop it was compromise and if that did not work Stop & Shop threatened to abandoned the store and keep it empty. I love Dobbs and I will always be loyal to Eric at Carey's he will always get my business first but if he doesnt have it I will go to Walgreens and so will everyone else as they did when they protested Stew Leonards in 1997 and Ridge Hill today now you cant get into either, and yes Hastings , Dobbs and Ardsley protested both. Most people protesting these various developments live in Hunters run , Walden Woods or The Landing my point is I remember when we were protesting those developments and we didnt want them built but if the board listened to us then you wouldnt have a home so protesting progress is nothing new but sometimes the unpopular decision must be made. They had an opportunity to speak and they chose not to so shame on them. Paul Feiner put it to the people and WE DID speak and so lets not try to say everyone didnt have a chance to vote because we did. View Comment
88 % of child molesters are straight and 17 % are woman. so there are more woman child molesters then there are gay men. Because they discriminate my boys will never be a part of the boys scouts. I would sue if I were these guys to plaster innocent peoples names in the paper and I say innocent because even the worst criminal in innocent until proven guilty by trial. Dumb move View Comment
Mr Hornstein you should be the last one to complain the college was there long before the Landing not to mention I remember when they proposed the Landing there were 100's of people marching up and down on Main St protesting since the Landing is built on an Indian Burial ground so its ok for you to be in a place no one wanted built? The area is zoned for Mercy and if you wanted peace and quiet WHY DID YOU BUY A HOUSE NEXT DOOR TO A COLLEGE?????? Seriously you knew the school was there as there are the entire length of Broadway from Ashford to Langdon. Go ahead come up with an answer that makes sense I bet you cant. View Comment
