Somers Attorneys Enea, Meyers Named 'Super Lawyers' In Elder Law

SOMERS, N.Y. – Enea, Scanlan & Sirignano, LLP in Somers and White Plains, has announced managing partner Anthony J. Enea and partner Sara E. Meyers have been selected by their peers for inclusion in New York Metro Super Lawyers 2014 in the field of elder law.

Longtime colleagues, Enea and Meyers are highly regarded for their expertise, integrity and fierce commitment to the protection of the rights of seniors, the disabled and their families. The firm was recently honored with the Golden Harvest Corporate Award at the Westchester Public/Private Partnership for Aging Services’ 32nd annual Golden Harvest Award Breakfast. Named Westchester County’s Leading Elder Care Attorney at the 2013 Above the Bar Awards and Best Lawyers’ 2015 Trusts and Estates “Lawyer of the Year” in White Plains,  Enea is also a past chair of the New York State Bar Association’s Elder Law Section. His practice areas include elder law; Medicaid planning and applications; special needs planning; wills, trusts and estates; nursing home negligence; guardianships and estate litigation. Enea is president of the Westchester County Bar Foundation and a past president of the Westchester County Bar Association.  “Being recognized through a peer-based process is always gratifying,” said Enea. “I am proud to be among the distinguished attorneys on this year’s Super Lawyers list and feel privileged to once again share the honor with my colleague, Sara Meyers.” An authority on Medicaid and special needs planning, Meyers practice areas include elder law; home health care; Medicaid planning; wills, trusts and estates; and guardianships. She is the immediate past chair of the Westchester County Bar Association’s (WCBA) Elder Law Committee and a member of the New York State Bar Association’s (NYSBA) Elder Law Section and Trusts & Estates Section. A frequent lecturer for both the WCBA and NYSBA, Meyers is also an editor of the Westchester County Bar Journal and the NYSBA Elder Law Section’s Elder and Special Needs Law Journal.
