Somers Springs Into Sustainability

SOMERS, N.Y. -- Somers residents, adults and children alike, are invited to join and learn about what the town has done with regard to sustainability and what is being planned for, through a variety of presentations, informational displays, handouts, and children’s activities.

Energize NY, Field Goods, Solarize Somers, Somers Land Trust, Somers Litter Task Force, Somers Seed Lending Library, Sustainable Westchester and Westchester County Cornell Cooperative Extension will be present.

The Somers Energy Environment Committee (SEEC), a town- sanctioned committee will provide presentations and information on Complete Streets aiming to make Somers more walkable with a cleaner environment for children and others, Municipal Permeable Paving, and Solar Gardens which is providing solar for those that are not currently qualified due to location, condo ownership, etc.
