Hurley is a featured speaker at the conference from July 18-21 at the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center in Detroit, Mich. The conference, sponsored by the Attention Deficit Disorder Association, asks the "top ADHD experts, researchers, coaches and therapists that work with adults with ADHD to offer attendees current, quality information about adult ADHD," according to a news release from the group.

"An expert in ADHD Coaching, Dr. Hurley will present 'Why Connect Self Compassion to Willpower?  What Neuroscience Can Do for the Adult with ADHD,'" representatives with ADDA said in the release. "Dr. Hurley will join other professionals in sharing her knowledge and experience to inform, educate and empower attendees."

Hurley, owner of TimeSavor Coaching, is a positive psychology practitioner, certified life coach and professional ADHD coach specializing in time management, goal setting and transitions, according to the release. Hurley also serves on the board of directors of the ADHD Coaches Organization (ACO) and is chair of the ACO Research Committee.

"More than 8 million adults in the United States live with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (AD/HD, also known as ADHD and ADD)," according to the release. "A person is diagnosed with ADHD when certain characteristic behaviors are displayed over a long period of time such as distractibility, impulsivity and hyperactivity. Although ADHD is a lifelong genetic difference usually first identified in childhood, it is sometimes only diagnosed in adulthood."
